Branden Grace Wins Nedbank Challenge

Chad Coleman

What a year it’s been for Grace. Just four months removed from shooting 62 at The Open, South Africa’s own Branden Grace shoots a final-round 66 to win the Nedbank Challenge at the Gary Player Country Club at Sun City.

“It was a dream come true. This is the one event that as a South African you want to win,” the 29-year-old said after coming from three strokes behind to clinch what he calls “Africa’s Major.”

His flawless Sunday scorecard included 6 birdies—one of which was a clutch 40-footer on the 16th—and no bogeys, and he hit ALL 18 Greens in Regulation. (That’s good, right?)

After the round, Grace credited his good driving (with his GBB Epic Sub Zero driver), which allowed him to be aggressive when he needed to. His all-Callaway bag also included new prototype Mack Daddy wedges and an Odyssey O-Works Jailbird Mini putter with the new Microhinge insert.

That’s what we in the marketing biz like to call an “Epic win at home.” Cheers to you, Branden!
